GIUSEPPE SCELLATO
(PhD)
Giuseppe Scellato has a PhD in Economics and is presently assistant professor at Politecnico di Torino, where he teaches financial accounting and corporate finance at graduate level, and economics and management of innovation at post-graduate level. His main research interests are in the area of industrial dynamics, corporate governance and innovation. These themes are investigated both theoretically and with micro econometric techniques. In particular, his recent publications address the following themes:
- Market failures in the financing of innovation activities
- Ownership structures, financial constraints and investment dynamics in private and public companies
- Intellectual property rights regimes and the economic analysis of patent law
- Firm-level productivity analysis and knowledge spillovers
- Economics of science
